Denver, Colorado – Sonesta Denver is proud to join the Sonesta International Hotels Corporation’s U.S. portfolio. The announcement comes as a result of major branding and management changes from Service Properties Trust (SVC), which includes the transfer of 102 InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) properties to Sonesta.
The new Sonesta Denver hotel in downtown Denver is enthusiastic about the new flag and the possibilities it brings. Director of Sales and Marketing Mark Shine recently expressed this in an interview stating, “We couldn’t be happier for the chance to share our hotel’s distinctive amenities, value-adding partnerships with downtown businesses and incredible Denver location with a new group of loyal Sonesta travelers. One of these partnerships is with Denver Pavilions, located just across the street from the hotel. Denver Pavilions is an indoor/outdoor entertainment mecca with restaurants, shops and more. Together with the hotel they’re launching “Making Spirits Bright,” a giveaway and stay package that will invite visitors to unwrap the magic of the season with sparkling lights, music, food, festive decorations, entertainment, and the beloved floats from the annual Parade of Lights to provide a safe celebration for our entire community. The 380-room hotel’s $22 million renovation in 2018 put a laser focus on the needs and comfort of business and tech-savvy leisure travelers. With the recent health crisis, the hotel re-oriented these private and semi-private spaces to be perfectly suited for collaboration and socializing in safe, socially distant ways as well as working or enjoying downtime solo. Local businesses are using the many unique workspace options available in the 14 spacious suites, the onsite restaurant, Lockwood Kitchen and Bar, and lobby areas for meetings and temporary offices.
Workspaces unique to Sonesta Denver include “pods,” single-seat high-back sound-buffering stations with power outlets and USB ports as well as “nooks,” large sofas with high backs and screens with HDMI connectivity which seat 4 people with distance between them. The Studio is a private meeting space for small groups with comfortable, casual seating, tables and integrated technology for sharing, viewing and collaboration. The hotel also offers complimentary garage space to companies working from the hotel or holding meetings in the 10,700 square-feet of event space.
Available 24/7, The Marketplace is a premium, self-serve outlet that offers a variety of healthy, fresh, local and traditional “grab & go” food and beverage options. The Lockwood Kitchen & Bar offers guests regional cuisine inspired by the Mile High City. The restaurant serves favorites such as Colorado farm-raised cattle, buffalo, lamb and more to compliment their specialty cocktails and local craft beers.
